Our HLHAC fishing tournament series for 2024 has begun! Events will be shared soon.

Angler of the Year points system:

3 points awarded for participation/derby
10 points awarded for 1st place
5 points awarded for 2nd place
3 points awarded for 3rd place
3 points awarded for largest fish

 

NOTE: - first place for single fish derbies nets 13 points (10 for 1st place + 3 for the biggest fish)
            - panfish includes: perch, crappie, sunfish, rock bass, bullhead
            - all Grand River derbies' boundaries are downstream from the Caledonia dam to upstream of the Dunville dam
            - scoring is by weight.  
            - if enough kids sign up, a separate kids' derby will take place alongside the main derby as was done at the 2021 walleye/bass/pike derby
